GVHA Victoria Inner Harbour Placemaking

Victoria’s Inner Harbour has long been a gathering place and a major tourist destination in the city. It has also been home to the lək̓ʷəŋən people, though their presence has gradually faded from the area. As part of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority’s reconciliation efforts, this project aims to reclaim and celebrate the lək̓ʷəŋən presence in the harbour.

My role in this project included project management, creating construction drawings, developing client presentations, and integrating Indigenous art into the space. Collaborating with the Senior Designer, we developed various elements for the placemaking project. Additionally, I led a workshop with the artists to support them in creating vector files of their artwork for implementation.
